Blithfield Reservoir Re-opens

We are Re-Opening !!

Updated : Thursday 27th July, 2020

We are delighted to announce that from Monday 27th July Permit holders will be allowed to fish two to a boat providing they are booked in advance. This will avoid any disappointment if boats are fully allocated.

Boat fishing for Syndicate anglers will also resume on Monday 27th July with 2 person occupancy permitted. Boats must be booked in advance of your visit and are strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Boats can be booked at the same time as your Syndicate booking.
Bank fishing for day and 4 hour permits will resume on Monday 3rd August. These will be limited to 20 permits per day initially and issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Please read the following carefully if you would like to visit on a day or 4 hour permit –
  • All permits must be booked in advance by telephone – this can be done between 8am and 12 noon Monday to Friday, even if you want to fish at the weekend. The number to call is 01283 840284.

  • Payment will need to be made by card over the ‘phone when you make your booking. No cash payments will be accepted and no permits will be issued unless a payment is made in advance.

  • If you would like to fish on a 4 hour permit you will need to state your intended start time when you make your booking.

  • Permits will start from 8.30am and you can arrive up to half an hour before your required start time. Fishing ends at dusk and the finish time is displayed in the Boat House each day.

  • Permits will be available for collection from the Boat House on the day of your visit.

  • The catch return on the back of the permit will need to be completed and submitted at the end of your visit.

  • No bookings will be accepted if they are made outside of the stated times or via Facebook, Messenger or email.

  • Please don’t arrive at the fishery unless you have booked. No permits will be issued ‘on spec’ at this stage.

We do hope you will bear with us as we take these tentative steps towards ‘normal’ business again. Our first priority is the safety of all of our Team and all of our visitors alike. Thank you all for your continued support and patience during these difficult times and we look forward to seeing you soon.
All anglers are asked to be responsible with regard to their own health & safety. Please sanitise or wash your hands with soap regularly and maintain your distance from others. DO NOT visit the fishery if you have a high temperature or feel unwell, have a new persistent cough or a sore throat, or if you have lost your sense of taste & smell.
**Note – new changes will run alongside the existing Blithfield Anglers rules & current Syndicate Angler Guidelines **

Thank you all for your support and co-operation so far.
