Stoke-on-Trent Angling Society Academy
“Our vision is to provide a facility whereby individuals and/or groups of all ages can get involved in the sport of angling. A place where they can enjoy, develop and improve their skills and help them on their journey to become a better angler and have a lifelong love of the sport.”
SOTAS Academy Events for 2022
Membership of the academy is free and open to all members of SOTAS.
The following academy events will take place during 2022
Tuesday 7th June. Practical session. Smallthorne Victory WMC. 7-15pm till 8-15pm
Saturday 11th June . Middleport Canal. Short Pole Fishing.
Tuesday 28th June. Practical session. Smallthorne Victory WMC 7-15pm till 8-15pm
Saturday 2nd July . Middleport Canal. Long Pole Fishing
Tuesday 19th July. Practical session. Smallthorne Victory WMC 7-15pm till 8-15pm
Saturday 23rd July. Stanley Pool. Float fishing.
Tuesday 26th July - Practical session. Smallthorne Victory WMC 7-15pm till 8-15pm
Saturday 30th July. Stanley Pool. Feeder Fishing.
Saturday 3rd September. Shropshire Union Canal Cadets National Practice.
Sunday 4th September. Shropshire Union Canal Juniors National Practice.
Tuesday Practical sessions timing same as listed for everyone.
Saturday Events on Middleport Canal and Stanley Timing as Follows:
Cadets Age 7-10 arrive 9-30am, Fish 10-00am - 12-30pm.
Juniors Age 11-15 arrive 13-00pm, Fish 13-30pm - 16-00pm.
There is also 4 Junior club match competitions scheduled for 2022 in the Society Membership Book that are open to all Club members.
