Fishing is now available to enjoy on three stretches of canal.


From 1st January 2020 Stoke-on-Trent Angling Society now have the lease on three stretches of canal fishing.

The existing stretch on the Trent and Mersey Canal at Middleport is retained. This length runs from Bridge 123 to 125. The other two stretches are on the Caldon Canal. The first from Northwood to Milton from Bridge 13 to 18. The second running from Endon To Cheddleton from Bridge 31 to Bridge 44. Full details can be found on the Society website. Click Here. All current paid up members are eligible to fish these waters. There is also a Canal Only Ticket available to purchase at a cost of just £10 for persons who are 17 years of age or over on 1st January 2020 and will give access to all three stretches. Anyone between 12 and 16 years of age on January 1st. can still join Stoke-on-Trent Angling Society for the standard £1 fee and will be eligible to fish all the club waters including the canals in accordance with the special rules regarding child protection and supervision as outlined in the membership book.

The canal only ticket can be purchased via the website, from the Society treasurer and will also be available together with full membership tickets in Trentside Angling Centre, Leek Road, Abbey Hulton and at Nathan's Angling Centre, Moorland Road, Burslem.
