Astbury Carp Match 2026

The 2026 Astbury Carp Match will be held from the 1st of May to the 4th of May with the peg draw taking place at 9am on the 1st of May.

The water will be closed to all other angling during the duration of the event. In order to book onto the match those interested should contact the Astbury Water contact, Ian Nixon on the following - 07719 491 379.

We hope that the match will be as popular as previous years and hopefully the carp will play ball to, in any case the main drive will be to raise a sum of money which will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK. Well what can I say another truly amazing weekend

Plenty of carp caught (4 x 30s amongst them)

I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who participated or donated to are prostate cancer charity and most of all to Paul Sutton one of our bailiffs who arranged this years match.

However fishing is not always about catching as I found out this weekend it’s about remembering the people who are absent but will always be remembered in our thoughts, We managed to raise an amazing £1840 which was handed of the charity.

Well done to everyone involved and we look forward to do it all again next year.
