River Blithe
The River Blithe is a small river in Staffordshire. It is a tributary of the River Trent and runs for around 18 miles from source to its confluence with the River Trent. Fishing is for approx half a mile on both banks from the road bridge at Dapple Heath to point of entry in Blithfield Reservoir.

Known for it's shoals of chub and brown trout a roving approach is required in order to get the most out of this small but intimate river.

River Blithe, Newton Hurst Lane, Dapple Heath, Stafford, WS15 3PG.
Directions from Uttoxeter A518 then B5013, turn right into Newton Hurst Lane then after approx 1 mile go past the entrance road to the farm and cottage, just past the bridge over the river Blithe there is a small parking area on the right.Fishing is both banks downstream from this road bridge to the point of entry in the Reservoir. Use footbridge and gates to follow river, do not climb fences.
